A 17-year-old male is arrested in connection to a Pittsburg, Kansas armed robbery.
On Monday, October 8th, 2018, authorities were called to an apartment at 206 West Hudson Street about an armed robbery. They found two occupants who claimed three males entered the apartment and said they were there to see one of the roommates. The two occupants allegedly told the suspects they didn't know who they were and they needed to leave.
Police say they were told one of the three males then pulled out a handgun. The two occupants say there was a struggle inside the apartment for the weapon and the three males then ran out the door. Authorities say an undisclosed amount of money was taken during the incident.
On Tuesday, October 9th, 2018, authorities with the Pittsburg Police Department and the Labette County Sheriff's Office arrested a 17-year-old male in connection to the robbery. Law enforcement arrested him at a location outside of Parsons in Labette County, Kansas.
The juvenile male is being held at the Southeast Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Girard. Authorities are requesting charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, kidnapping (unlawfully confining any person by force with intent to hold such person to facilitate the commission of any crime) and theft.
Police are still searching for two other suspects in the case.
