Possible suspect in northeast Oklahoma ATM skimming
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect in connection to a rash of ATM skimming throughout northeast Oklahoma. We'll have more on October 10th, 2018, on FOX 14 News at 9 and KOAM News at 10.
Ottawa County Sheriff's Office: "We have reason to believe that the white male identified through the photographs below is a person of interest that has been involved in a rash of ATM Skimming throughout North East Oklahoma. The OCSO executed a search warrant today in regards to ATM Skimming and we need help trying to identify the individual in these pictures. Suspect has been seen in the white car shown in the picture as well. We also have information the suspect could be driving a dark colored, newer model van, unknown make or model. ATM Skimming has been occurring throughout the entire NE Oklahoma, including the Tulsa Area. The Grove Police Department sends out a heads up to residents.
On October 9th, 2018, the GPD posted on social media that they, and banks in the Grove area, are aware of several debit cards being hacked and used over the last few days.
Police say if your ATM card was compromised you need to contact your bank immediately so they can disable your ATM card and reissue you a new one.
Authorities and the banks are working together on the issue.
