Joplin Police Release Name of Stabbing Victim

JOPLIN, MISSOURI -

Joplin Police release the name of the victim in the stabbing investigation as 48 year old Richard Pitts.  Pitts resides at the residence where he was found the yard with a stab wound. 

Joplin Police investigate an early morning stabbing.   According to authorities, officers responded to 221 North Walnut around 4:20 a.m.. Officers arrived on scene to find an adult man with a stab wound to the torso. The man was transported to a local hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police have not released the man's identity.  No arrests have been made.
