Woman Arrested And Charged With Child Abuse in SEK

COLUMBUS, KANSAS -

A Columbus woman is behind bars following what investigators call a "lengthy investigation". 
Detectives with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office arrested 25 year old Samantha Weaver of Columbus.
Authorities say Weaver allegedly physically abused two children under the age of 5.
One of the children had to be transported and treated at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
She's being held in the Cherokee County Jail - and has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of felony child abuse, and two counts of felony child endangerment.
Her bond is set at $50,000.

        The long awaited Block22 in Pittsburg opened to students recently to allow them to move in to the newly created lofts.     However, restaurants were expected to be opened by now, but, they're not, leaving some wondering what's going on.   When you look at the Block22 restaurant space, there's not much to look at.  Even though, originally, residents were told, they'd be ready by now.
