Webb City Police Find Children in Hot Vehicles: Seek Charges Against Fathers

WEBB CITY, MISSOURI -

Webb City police are seeking child endangerment  charges against two dads for leaving  their children unattended in hot vehicles. 
 The police chief says both incidents involved three children under  the age of three left  in vehicles. Both happened  Sunday  when the temperature topped 84 degrees outside. 
    One incident occurred  Atwoods parking lot when a 31-year old father left  three toddlers in a truck and someone heard a baby crying. 
    The other was  at Webb City Health and Rehab where a 20-year old left three small kids in a van.

Chief Don Melton said, "In both cases the windows were  cracked in both cases the children weren't to the level of distress but they were sweating and red"
 Both incidents were  reported by concerned citizens.  Police took  20-year old Tristan Ash  into custody  on an outstanding  failure to appear  warrant from Newton county.
