Farm Bureau makes donation to Ronald McDonald House

A local organization celebrates "Thank a Farmer" week by making a donation.  Farm Bureau is donating food to several Ronald McDonald pantries throughout Missouri.

Today Farm Bureau volunteers delivered the food items to the Ronald McDonald House in Joplin.

Donations like this are always appreciated at the "home away from home".

"In almost 14 years of operations we've never had a food budget so all of our food comes from donations," says Tara Hornek, the manager of the Ronald McDonald House in Joplin.  "So to know that we're going to get a donation that will stock our shelves for three months is tremendous."

"Thank a Farmer" week continues through February 11th.
