Webb City helps families get ready for Christmas with its third annual winter program offering many activities for just a dollar.
Kids can sit on Santa's lap, hug a polar bear and even ride The Polar Bear Express Train. While waiting for the train, kids could write letters to Santa.
The train ride includes a trip around the park with lighted decorations and a special light show synchronized to music.
This is the first year it's been a night time event.
"It's just kind of unique and new - we wanted to put on kind of a new lights show program," says Tom Reeder, the Webb City Parks and Recreations Director. "Instead of just a light display, it's a light show and that's kind of what we are going to build with. Next year we hope it will be bigger and better."
The Polar Bear Express runs each Saturday from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm on December 3rd, 10th and the 17th.
Next year Webb City Parks and Recreation hopes to add a second tent featuring live music for residents to enjoy.
