JOPLIN, MISSOURI -

Updated February 2, 2012:  Proceeds from a Christmas ornament come in for the Ozark Center for Autism.  Before Christmas the Wildflower sold ornaments honoring Joplin.  Today the Joplin floral shop presented the check to the Center for $6,500.

Reported November 18, 2011:  Ornaments to benefit Joplin children with autism are now for sale.  The May 22nd inspired ornaments feature designs that say things like "Hope for Joplin" and "Joplin, Missouri MY hometown".

The Round Top Collection Store in Houston, Texas donated the ornaments to the Wild Flower Floral Shop in Joplin.

Only 600 will be sold.  All of the proceeds will go towards the Ozark Center for Autism.

"They are great ornaments to hang on your Christmas Tree," says the owner of the Wild Flower shop, Justin Thomas.  "They are great gift items if you wanted to send one to somebody.  There is one ornament that says Joplin, Missouri, my hometown, so if someone that wasn't born here in Joplin but doesn't still live here, this would be a perfect gift for them."

The Wild Flower Floral Shop is located at 1832 East 32nd Street in Joplin.
