The Branson Cares for Joplin benefit concert and telethon originally aired live Sunday, June 26 on KOAM-TV, Fox 14 TV and several other stations across the country.
Dozens of Branson performers participated, providing entertainment and taking pledges as the show was broadcast live from Mansion Theater in Branson.
The telethon benefited Joplin Schools musical and choral departments. It also helped fund the St. John's hospital coworker relief fund and hospital rebuilding fund.

The day after the tornado three Branson entertainers came together to create a song of inspiration for Joplin tornado survivors. Jason Robinson of Joplin and Trey Wilson wrote the song, with Michael W. Davis providing the original track. For the Branson Cares program the song was played as images of Joplin were shown to the audience. The song can be purchased here with 100% of the proceeds going to help the people of Joplin.
