The U.S. Census Bureau will be hiring thousands of people in the Kansas City region, which includes the 4-State area between now and next spring.

Around 35,000 temporary jobs will be available in the Midwest Region.

Depending on the location, temporary clerk jobs will pay from $7.50 to $12.75 an hour, and field jobs - such as recruiting assistants and census takers - start at $11.50 and hour plus mileage.
