    The Joplin City Council discussed rezoning involving the construction of a new library.Members  approved the first reading to rezone the northeast corner of 20th and Connecticut from residential, non-retail and neighborhood commercial zones to a commercial district.During the meeting, new images of the 57,000 square foot library were shown. More >>

    We attached a slideshow of today's "In God We Trust Day" celebration by the City of Mindenmines, Missouri. Dave Sorrick who owns In God We Trust LLC handed out coins and posters as part of the celebration.     Over 4,000 teddy bears donated to a Neosho, Missouri hospital

    Edward and Sharon Leavitt started the program Calvary Cares Bears Ministry in 2009. The program donates teddy bears for children who make a visit to Freeman Neosho Hospital. In six years over 4,000 bears have been donated.Last year Edward passed away and Freeman honored him with a plaque. Sharon works on bears every night brushing them and irons on patches on their feet.Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho funds the program.More >>

Pieces show John Lair who coaches the Bulldogs and athlete Chevi Peters.Peters is preparing to compete in power lifting at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles. Lair will serve as assistant power lifting coach. Cody Pierce will run the final leg of the torch run over the Golden Gate Bridge The games start July 25th.More >>
