    Pittsburg State University is cutting 19 positions. PSU officials announced the cuts today (April 26th,2018).     A former Pittsburg Police Officer is sentenced today for aggravated battery. 22-year-old Jesse Davis of Carthage, MO was arrested for an incident that happened on August 26th, 2017. According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, Davis and another officer responded to a domestic disturbance in Pittsburg where a male and female were involved in an altercation.     A stabbing investigation leads to the arrest of the stabbing victim. On Wednesday morning around 6:30 a.m. (April 25, 2018), Pittsburg police officers were called to Via Christi Hospital for a male that had been stabbed. Authorities say 58-year-old Mark Rohr, driving a Dodge Durango, was turning east from the stop sign at 7th and Tri State Road.  38-year-old Donald D.
