    Two Pittsburg State University employees are on administrative leave.  47-year-old Peter Rosen and 39-year-old Barry Wilson, both of Pittsburg, were arrested Thursday evening (12/7/2017). According to police, they served a search warrant at an apartment on South Joplin Street pertaining to the illegal videoing of a person who is nude or in the state of undress.     An Oklahoma teen will now stand trial for murder as an adult. Koalten Orr was 14-years-old when police say he went to the Vinita Police Department and told officers he killed his father's fiancé, 38-year-old Laura Beth Hendrix.     A Carl Junction man faces a charge of Child Abuse Resulting in Death.  According to Carl Junction Police Chief Delmar Hasse, on November 28th authorities responded to a call at 405 Meadow Lake Drive about 3-year-old Jayda Kyle not conscious or breathing.  The girl was taken to Mercy Hospital in Joplin and then life-flighted to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.     PSU Faculty Member Selected for Hall of Fame

    Becky Brannock, a faculty member who has achieved the designation of University Professor in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Pittsburg State, has been inducted into the Kansas School Counseling Hall of Fame.  In addition to teaching, Brannock also serves as the director of PSU's School Counseling Program, which prepares candidates for careers as professional school counselors in Pre K-12 settings.
